This is about what I worked on in the past, what I am working on now and what I would like to work on in the future.

I have worked on a wide range of projects that used my skills, both as a designer and a developer. This has allowed me to explore new projects from both aspects in terms of design and in code. These hybrid roles are the ones that really excite me and motivate me towards new challenges and new projects. I believe that bridging the gap will result in the best outcomes for internal teams and for end users.

Past

Throughout my career I have worked worked creatively without the limitations of technology. I enjoy taking inspiration from the world around me and using this as a basis for my work. Working with materials like pen and paper allowed me to work faster and more freely, this is still something I believe in taking the time to do.

Whilst working for a business to business start-up I was able to work on a range of online projects that broadened my horizons. It allowed me to use my creative and design skills whilst learning about digital. It gave me the exposure to the technologies which create our digital experiences and it led to me learning about web development.

In a large corporate environment I quickly built up my skills both as a designer and a developer and applied them in a fast moving environment. This also enabled me to learn about the workings of an online retailer. I took projects from intialisation through to final delivery. The knowledge that I gained has been integral to the development of my career. The projects that I worked on included deliveries for online sales and for customer service journeys.

Whilst with a small digital healthcare company who specialised in medical interventions, I developed my interest in working with data and information. In particuar, looking at how to present information to the user so that they can get the greatest understanding from it. It was great to be able to explore the different ways which an application or tools can be designed in order to make it the best experience for the them.

In working with large corporate companies I gained the opportunity to work on some hugely exciting projects. It allowed me to stretch myself in terms of user experience and development whilst using my design skills. Projects varied from designing e-commerce solutions to implementing service delivery tools.

Now

Currently I am working for a company who automate and transform the delivery of advertising. This provides me with a broad scope of work with complete projects which allow me to work across user experience, design and development.

The experience I have gained has given me a great understanding of how to complete projects sucessfully. I can offer important inputs to projects and well thought out solutions to problems. Design and development should work together from the very start of a project in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Future

I am excited by the changing landscape of technology. It is evolving at an incredible speemaking things simpler through smarter technology, from providing users with greater access to markets to empowering users to take control of their lives.

I look foward to building platforms and systems which look to the long term and create digital legacies. I want to work for digitally driven organisations that place online and technology at their core to drive projects and business innovation.
