Insights from my journey —
projects are shaped into engaging digital experiences by working and engaging cross-functionally.
I work on Digital Products, specialising in bridging design and development. I work at the intersection of creativity and technology in order to bring them together to create solutions to problems to help businesses and users.
I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, exploring both sides of digital — visual design and technical development. My career has spanned utilities, telecommunications, healthcare, and advertising, where I’ve delivered solutions that combine user-centred design with robust technical execution. I thrive in hybrid roles where strategy, design systems, and production-ready code come together to deliver scalable, elegant products.
I’m most motivated in hybrid roles where I can bridge design and development, because I believe collaboration between these disciplines delivers the best outcomes. Whether it is through teamwork and navigating the project or putting the needs of customers at the forefront of design and getting early feedback on propsed ideas.
My creative journey began in Art and Graphic Design, where I combined traditional media — paint, ink, and pencil — with digital manipulation to create hybrid works. I developed skills in sketching and visual exploration that I still use today to quickly generate and refine ideas. This foundation taught me to value creativity, experimentation, and design craft — qualities that remain central to my work in digital products.
Past — Broadening my horizons
In my early career, I worked across industries from utilities to health. These were important to me in order to gain valuable insight into different businesses and how they go about solving problems.
Early on I began in a small business environment where I could get early hands-on to help me understand the business. This played important role in helping to develop my business understanding and growing my knowledge of the importance of technology today.
Moving into telecommunications, I designed and developed sales and service portals, collaborating with stakeholders and delivering front-end code. This role was my first deep dive into the full product lifecycle — shaping journeys, prototyping, and launching user-ready experiences. It was here that I learned the value of blending creativity with technical execution, building a skill set that could take an idea from concept to a functional, user-ready experience.
Building upon my experiences I wanted to experience different industries and develop my understanding of the role of technology.
In healthcare, we created digital products that improve mental and physical health outcomes. I designed responsive applications to support mental and physical health. I led workshops to fully explore the needs of our users and to discover how we can best help them. This experience grew my ability to design with empathy, aligning visual and interaction design with the needs of users. It also expanded my role into brand identity and digital marketing, reinforcing my ability to handle the broad requirements of product delivery.
Moving back to telecommunications, I stepped into a more expansive role where I helped to shape the online experience for business customer experience. I introduced a Design System that improved visual consistency and efficiency, designed wireframes and prototypes, and delivered polished front-end solutions. This was where I truly began to integrate UX strategy, design systems thinking, and developer collaboration into a cohesive practice.
Present — Cross-functional design and delivery
Having broadened my knowledge across the product development lifecycle I have been at the intersection of product vision and technical execution. This is an area which greatly interests me and I am excited by the whole process of taking an idea through product development to delivery.
In the advertising, I have worked on products which deliver important administration functions to the industry. I’ve taken projects from ideation to delivery - leading workshops, developing prototypes, architecting cross-platform design systems, and delivering high-quality production code. My role has been equal parts strategic and hands-on: understanding complex business requirements, translating them into actionable product specifications, and ensuring that every detail in user experience and design aligns with both user needs and business objectives.
Future — Product development and design
Across all my roles, one constant has been my ability to move fluidly through the product development lifecycle. I think like a strategist, design like a creative, and collaborate like a developer.
Looking ahead I want to continue using my hybrid skill set — shaping strategy, refining user experience, and delivering customer solutions. My goal is to help organisations untangle complex problems and deliver intuitive, scalable products that users love.
In this next chapter, I see myself not just as a bridge — but also connecting business vision with technical delivery, ensuring that every product decision is rooted in clarity, usability, and measurable impact.
